I believe this is the last look I made a video for for my Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude palette but I love it! It's a really pretty, not too over-the-top purple look. It's super easy to do and doesn't take a lot of time. Let me know what you think!
The other day in one of my Sephora hauls I decided to purchase the Bobbi Brown Soho Chic Eye Look Palette. It has mostly smokey colors mixed in with a few neutrals. I thought I would like it, but I am OBSESSED! It is just gorgeous!! The colors are amazing, the pigmentation is super thick so you get a great amount of color and the looks just come out gorgeous! The only complaint I have is that the color tends to flake and fall down as you apply it so it can be extremely messy. I made a video using the palette to create a super sexy smokey eye look, let me know what you all think!
Today my makeup challenge of the day is my Bare Minerals eye shadow. Now these shadows are a little more loose powdery so they will either stay on amazingly or not well at all. Check out below to see!
Today is Day 2 of my Makeup Challenge to see which eye shadow lasts the longest. I decided to try my Urban Decay Naked Palette today to see how it would hold up to the challenge. Check out my findings below:
One of the more popular makeup looks currently is winged eyeliner. You can create a gorgeous eye look without knowing the first thing about makeup as long as you know your eyeliner. It's a really easy technique that with a little bit of practice and time you'll be able to do with your eyes closed. I used to be horrible at it, always making the liner way too thick and making my eye look super tiny, but over time I got better. So, check out my tips below to see what tricks I use to make applying winged liner easier and let me know what you think! What are your tricks?
We've all had that moment (well most of us at least) where we have an important job interview or meeting and all of a sudden nothing we own looks professional, our hair is a mess and we have no idea how to do our makeup. Been there. So, the other day I had a meeting with an important client and the night before as I was planning out my outfit I decided I'd make a video showing how I do my makeup for occasions like these. It's easy to think, 'ok, less makeup is more in this situations'. While this isn't necessarily wrong, it's not necessarily true either. If you're smart about how you apply your makeup you can play up your features, make yourself look more polished and professional and actually look better than wearing little to no makeup at all. Check out my video below for some of my tips, hopefully you'll find them useful next time you're in a similar situation!
As I've said before I love my Naked 3 Palette! All of the colors are very light, muted and more rosey, which I love with brown eyes. I decided to try out another look, this one I would describe as more Blush Rose. It's just a really simple, pretty look that you can wear for everyday looks, or you can darken it up slightly for a night look. It's just a really great, easy go-to! Tell me what you think!
Another look that has become very popular lately is the 'cut-crease look'. What this essentially means is a look in which you don't blend out the crease color. You can do this with neutral colors as I show in my video below or with brighter colors if you really want to make your eyes stand out. It's just a different technique, not necessarily better than the normal blending, but definitely fun for days when you want to mix it up! Also, it helps to make your eyes look bigger if you have smaller eyes because you can kind of fake where the crease is. I used some of the matte browns from my Smashbox Full Exposure Palette to do this. Check out my video below, is this something you guys would try?
As promised, here is the second of my 2 looks using the Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Sticks. The first look I did using my Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick didn't include the Amethyst stick, which is the purple color. So today, I decided to do another look incorporating that color so you guys could see what all 4 colors look like. I absolutely looove this color. It's the perfect shade of purple, not too obnoxious, but just enough pigment. It also applies just as smoothly as the other colors! Check out the video below to see my look and tell me what you think!
I recently purchased the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Box Set from Sephora, While not generally a fan of cream shadows I was intrigued by the description. It's essentially a cream eyeshadow that you color on. I recently did a post/video reviewing these and I have to say I am really impressed. I decided to try a look out so you can see how to apply these sticks and show how fun and different they can be to use! I did a sublte bronze eye with a deep, berry lip. Let me know what you think!
In my last post I did a haul of Sigma beauty products. I explained my feelings on them here but I also did a look from the products so you can see how they actually go on. While I hated the liner I didn't mind the shadow and was able to make the finished product work. Check it out below!
When you think of the word smokey eye you immediately think black, silver, dark colors. While this is obviously gorgeous it's also very limiting. There are so many different colors you can use to achieve the same effect of a sexy smokey eye without having to reach for the black. Bronzes, browns and golds for example are all great colors that can be used to create the "Victoria Secret" version of the smokey eye. So I thought I'd do a smokey eye video using my Naked 2 palette to show you don't have to reach for the black to pull off a gorgeous smokey eye!
So I mentioned yesterday in my Mac Haul post that I was OBSESSED with my new Sassy Moss Fluidline. It's just the most gorgeous green, gold color ever! It's made to be a liner but I used it all over my lid for an amazing, beautiful pop of color! I actually wore this look to work and didn't feel like I had too much makeup on or looked like I was headed to the club. It just was so beautiful, so much fun and so different than my normal look!
I promised I'd make a video showing my look as I mentioned how obsessed with it I was :) I did, so check it out below! xo Kelly
So I know I've done a bunch of these brown eyed looks and I promise to do more blue, but here's another great look for us brown eyes. It's nothing too complicated and it's a very natural, every day look that is easily replicated. Let me know what you think!
Today I wanted to do a fun gold/coral look. I love these colors for summer especially when you have a bit of a tan going on. Check out my look, let me know what you think!!
I think most people have go-to looks that they know will
look great and they can apply with their eyes shut. It’s important to have at least one of these
in your back pocket so when you don’t have a lot of time or you’re just too
tired to try something new you can quickly and easily apply this. As I've mentioned in other posts I'm obsessed with Mac's Naked Lunch eye shadow, so that is definitely the first thing I reach for when I'm running late (aka every morning I have to wake up before noon). So I thought I'd share a video on my favorite look, which is also super easy and fast!
It can be really expensive to get your makeup done for your wedding! Makeup artists can charge anywhere upwards of $500 a person to do your makeup. Therefore, whether you chose to attempt it yourself or get it done it's always good to have an idea of what you want. As I've said before I love golds and purples and any colors that really make your eyes pop! So, I decided to make a video to give an idea of a look you can use!
Mac offers these great eye shadow palettes of 4 different colors that are great for beginners, or people who are unsure which colors to mix. I recently purchased this really pretty one that has yellows and browns, all of which look great alone or mixed with the other colors. I decided to do a look showing of the ways in which you can use these palettes, and using bright spring colors to go with it. Hope you guys enjoy!
I'm obsessed with my Mac Pressed Pigments. I think they're so great, especially if you love really bright or sparkly eyes. I recently purchased a bunch and I've been trying a variety of different looks using them. I tried out this golden copper look and I am absolutely loving it! It's so pretty and not too obnoxiously sparkly that you couldn't wear it to work. I tried to use as few colors as possible so it'd be easy to do. Hope you guys like it!

When I first started doing videos I did a look using my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette but the lighting was horrible so it was hard to see exactly what I was doing. I love the palette so much, there are so many different looks you can do with it, everything from a light almost nude eye to a dark smokey eye. I love the rose pink colors in it and the dark purples. I made a new video with a bit of a darker look than my last one so check it out!
