Spring Makeup

Happy Easter everyone!  In the spirit of the holiday I thought I'd do a bright, vibrant spring look!

So, while I personally love snow, I know most of the rest of the U.S. is ready for summer.  So, with that in mind I decided to make a fun, springy color video showing a look that will look great once the warm weather comes.  I used a lot of my new loose pigments from Mac, as well as some really bold colors that I probably wouldn't have used in the past.  I think what I'm learning through all of this is any color can be used as long as you don't go overboard and you use the right colors to compliment it!  So please check out my spring look and let me know what you think!

5 Minute Makeup Look

I absolutely LOVE doing makeup (obviously...).  I love getting ready, I love taking hours doing my hair and makeup and perfecting my look, I love trying new looks, I love trying new makeup; I love it all.  What I don't love, nay, DESPISE, is waking up.  And morning.  And basically any hour before noon.  (If it were up to me, work would just be whenever your body naturally wakes you up, until like 4pm).  So, while I always fantasize about being the hot girl in my office with the perfect makeup and hair, I'm usually the hot mess in the pony tail.  I have, however, figured out the perfect 5 minute makeup look that allows me to look as though I did not just roll out of bed 10 minutes ago (which I usually just did).  It's super simple, only involves a few eye shadow shades, and really is very easy to customize to your own needs.  So, in that vein, I created a video this past weekend showing my 'Get Ready With Me Look'.  Check out my video below!

What are your favorite, easy morning looks?

Makeup For Brown Eyes

Hey!

So my mom has these gorgeoussss green eyes, my bro has these awesome blue eyes and of course I get my dad's brown eyes :)  I've learned some tips and tricks along the way to emphasize them, and if you use the right colors they can actually look very stunning.  Brown is nice too because there's very few colors that don't work with it.  My favorites are golds, browns and purples, but you can use pretty much any color with it.  Check out my video below to see my look and how I play up my eyes.

Small Eyes? Me Too....

Hey!

So if you're anything like me you watch these tutorials of girls with these beautiful big eyes then you go to do it on yourself and it looks nothing like the video.  The good news is there's hope for us small-eyed girls out there!  There are certain tips and techniques you can use that will help allow you to use the looks you see on videos, but without making your eyes look tiny.

The first thing that's most important, is the outer corner.  In most videos they show you that you should a darker crease color to the outer v of your eye, as well as to the outer corner.  If you have small eyes though, this is only going to exacerbate the problem. The key that I show in my video, is to apply just outside of the corner.

Another trick, is to apply the crease color slightly above your crease.  This will give the illusion of a larger lid, which of course makes your eye look bigger.

Check out my video below for more tips and tricks, and PLEASE subscribe to my youtube channel and follow me on here :)

Naked 3 Eyeshadow Look

Hey guys!

So my main goal in doing this was to do video tutorials.  Upon making a few I never realized how hard it would be, or all of the minutia that would go with it.  The lighting alone is a disaster.  That being said, here is my first official video.  Ahh.  I wish it was a little clearer but I'm trying new things every time so I would LOVE to hear any comments or suggestions you have on lighting, editing or any ways to make it better.

I got the Naked 3 palette for Christmas and am obsessed.  I love the colors they're so fun and just different enough that I don't have any repeats of colors I already have.  Also, I've found with most palettes there are inevitably a few colors I never use, but with this palette there's not a single color I don't anticipate using.  I've played around with most of them and came up with this look for Christmas dinner.  Hopefully you guys like it too and my video helps!
