Alright, so I know dry shampoos have a lot of amazing uses. They can make your hair easier to style, they can refresh your look, they can add volume and body, they can do all these magical things. But let's be real. Dry shampoo is so amazing because it can transform your hair from a greasy, disgusting, shouldn't be seen in public, disaster to this amazing, full bodied, did you just come from the salon? look!
When your alarm goes off and you push snooze (like I do daily), and then look at the phone again only to discover 30 mins have passed and you will undoubtedly be late for work. To make matters worse that morning shower you were planning on is no longer an option. Rather than roll up to the office rocking a hat you can calmly pull out your bottle of dry shampoo, spray a little over your hair and walk out the door like you had all the time in the world! (Please don't forget your deodorant and perfume).
Now, if your mornings aren't quite as dramatic as this you might be thinking 'I don't need a product like that. I'm an adult who can wake up when my alarm goes off'. When they're just wrong. EVERYONE need a product like this. Dry shampoo can give your hair volume, and refresh it when you're going on day two or day three of a style. It's great for if you want to tease your hair to start with that and it's good for giving strands a breather from washing. Also, if you have super thin hair, the kind you're not supposed to wash every day, but can't go a day without needed a wash, this product will change your life.
Now I've tried a host of different dry shampoos in the quest to find something that's affordable, but also that works.
Classic: Baby Powder
Don't know it 'til you've tried it. Sprinkling baby powder on your head can refresh your hair and sop up any of the excess oils on your scalp. It lasts all day as well.
Cons: It/you reek of baby power. You have to be very careful to brush it all through or your hair turns white. Probably not great for darker hair colors. It gets all over your closes.
The Worst: TRESemme Dry Shampoo
I despise the smell of their products. If this doesn't bother you you probably won't hate this as much. As for how it works, I find my hair is still greasy, there is no volume and it doesn't look any better. Fail
The Best Drugstore Brand: Pssssst
This stuff is great. It's only around $7 a bottle. There is no scent and it works really well. It doesn't last as long or give quite as nice of a shine as the other better brands but definitely a great buy if you're looking to not spend too much.
The Best High-End Product: Oribe Dry Texturing Spray
This stuff is amazing! It cleans your hair, gives your hair killer body and texture and makes it look as though you've just stepped out of the salon. Completely worth the splurge in my book, but at $39 it is pricey.
SUPERSTAR: Klorane Dry Shampoo
This is the End-All-Be-All of dry shampoos. It's lightweight, unscented, it doesn't make your hair turn white or leave a gross scent. It adds volume to your hair and is great for spraying on even clean hair to give some body and lift. It's only $18 and it's worth. Every.Last.Penny.
What are your favorites? Have you tried any of the above?

My New Obsession
Hey!
I recently got turned onto the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. They're a bit of a splurge at $45, but totally worth it if you're a makeup junkie like I am! There's 5 different colors that you can use for specific highlighting or for an all-over glow. I'm obsessed with mine and always get the most compliments on my skin when I finish my look by swiping one of the powders over my face.
Now, Hourglass has come out with a line of Ambient Lighting Blushes and to say I'm obsessed is an understatement! There's 6 different colors and they're all equally amazing. They combine a beautiful blush color with one of the ambient lighting powders to create this amazing, beautiful finish. I'm not even lying when I say I have never had a blush that makes my cheeks look quite as radiant and flushed.
I think blush is one of those products that you can use an inexpensive shade or an expensive shade and get comparable quality. This blush, however is just another level. It's not only great shades, but incorporating the ambient lighting gives this amazing glow to your skin that you don't get with any blushes currently out there.
You can get all of the colors here at http://www.sephora.com/ambient-lighting-blush-P384963?icid2=Hourglass_TrendingNow_Carousel_P384963_image. I am personally LOVING the Luminous Flush which is a pretty, cool, pink color combined with the luminous lighting and the Dim Infusion which is a gorgeous coral color. I think whichever color you go with you won't be disappointed, they're all gorgeous!
Have you guys tried these? Let me know what you think!

Purple Smokey Eye
Hey!
Purple is probably one of my favorite colors to play around with. I think it's both versatile and complimentary to all eye colors. I recently got one of the Mac Pigments in purple and I'm loving it! I played around with a couple of different looks and decided to do a purple smokey eye because it's a little different and fun. I hope you guys enjoy the video!!

Favorite Products!
Hey guys!
I've tried A LOT of products throughout the years and some were majorly disappointing while others I still use to this day. And while I think there are a lot of different factors that go into what makes a product your "favorite", quality is something that you can't argue with. Check out my video below to see my favorite products!

Makeup For Blue Eyes
Hey guys!
So obviously I have brown eyes, but I'm always getting asked what shadows look the best on blue eyes. I decided to make a video showing a great go-to look for people with gorgeous blue eyes. While brown is considered the most versatile, I think there are so many different things you can do with blue eyes, and there is a way to use every color if you just know how! So check out my video below to see my look!

My Skin Care Routine
Hey guys!
Skin care is something that has always been very important to me. As a teenager I had HORRIBLE skin and tried everything under the sun to get it better. Now, as an adult, I try and take good care of my skin to heed off wrinkles as long as possible!
I think the best products for clear skin (and mind you this is after having tried ProActive, prescription skin care, etc.) is honestly Clean and Clear. I don't know why but their products seemed to clear up my skin in a way that no other product before had been able to. I still use their face wash and blemish cream to this day!
For moisturizing I love Garnier's products. They have a great moisturizer that reverses the effects of sun damage, and it's light weight so your skin doesn't get that greasy, heavy feeling a lot of moisturizers leave.
For anti-wrinkle creams I'm a big fan of Estee Lauder products. They have an amazing line, and it's reasonably priced especially compared to a lot of the products out there. I'm loving their Advanced Night Repair Serums and their new Revitalizing Supreme Moisturizer!
Check out my video below to hear all my thoughts on these products and more! :)

EASY Highlighting and Contouring
Hey guys!
So highlighting and contouring is all the rage right now and for good reason. It can help emphasize or de-emphasize features that you love or hate. A lot of the videos I've seen on youtube have been really intense with all sorts of crazy dark colors and lines, and numbered and all this crazy stuff. I myself use contouring every day because I hate the roundness of my face and like to give the illusion of cheekbones. However, my contouring is not nearly as complicated as a lot of the videos out there. Check out my video below to see how I do this, and some tricks for changing face shapes, noses, eyes etc. Hope you guys like it!

The Brush That Changed My Life
Hey!
So I have relatively manageable hair. However, if I tease my hair or don't comb it for a few days it can get cray. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and having just one huge knot. It's like WTF. I've tried using detangling leave-in conditioners and they work relatively well, but still pulling the comb through my tangles always hurts. I'd heard about this brush that was supposed to be great for detangling hair but hadn't really given it too much thought.
I somehow got roped into doing a free Amazon Prime trial and during the month I had it I felt the need to buy as much as possible to get my (free) money's worth for the month. So, one day it occurred to me that maybe this brush was worth trying. I looked it up and it was the weirdest shape, but it cost me like $3 I was like why the heck not?! BEST $3 I EVER SPENT. This little thing is a miracle worker. Comb your hair with it before you shower, after you shower, when you wake up, whenever the heck you feel like it. I can't even imagine the wonders it works on people with actually tangley hair. It's seriously so amazing, I threw away all my other brushes just because I hate them so much now :)
But for real. If you have an extra $3 lying around, buy this brush. (Just get it on Amazon because it costs like $15 retail).
